JOSEPH PASCARETTI
Hello!
I am a filmmaker based out of the Metro-Detroit Area. I have firsthand experience working as a Gaffer, Grip, Assistant Camera, and Editor. I have also written and directed several short films that have played at a number of film festivals.
My Story
Initially set on pursuing a career in law, I graduated from Wayne State University with a B.A. in Political Science in 2019. However, after a brief stint in law school, I realized I had to pursue my true calling, which is to tell stories and share artistic expression with an audience. I graduated from the Motion Picture Institute of MI in 2021 with a Technical Certification in Film Production. Through that program, I produced three short films, two of which have found great success in film festivals from all around the world. I have worked freelance on a number of productions as well, including two feature films shot locally here in Michigan.
Among my academic pursuits, I have also worked in a number of other fields, including teaching and retail management.
Outside of that, I take great pride in several other passions, including music and martial arts. It also goes without saying that I am an avid movie fanatic, and a lover of video games.
